When we think of weight loss, the immediate reaction is to downgrade our food, increase exercise and become deprived for the rest of our lives.

Well, that’s one way to pursue weight loss, and it might work for some.

But, most of us can’t be arsed living a life of deprivation.

I spent my life that way — a very long and hard pursuit.

You end up putting the weight back on and then becoming miserable and embarrassed about your body.

If you have been dieting forever and not gaining any momentum, it’s time to flip the switch.

Thinking about health rather than scarcity of food and enjoyment will create a new environment for success in weight loss.

It’s not about being as lean as possible.

What’s the point if you’re not enjoying life?
