If you are living paycheck to paycheck, you are not alone! Unfortunately, many Americans are struggling today.

A study by payroll.org found that 78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. That is a higher percentage than the same survey done in 2022.

Supporting that study, Bankrate found that 72% of American adults do not feel financially secure.

However, many of those 78% can go from financial insecurity to financial freedom if it is an important enough financial priority.

NOTE: There is often a huge difference between what we think we want and what we really want. You may think you want financial freedom, but are you willing to make the necessary sacrifices?

Financial Independence versus Financial Freedom

It is important to make clear that Financial Freedom and Financial Independence are not synonymous. Here is my simple distinction.

Financial Independence is about having enough income to live your preferred lifestyle without the need to work.

Financial Freedom is about earning enough income to live your preferred lifestyle with money left over for savings.
