The line between self-love and self-discipline can be a thin one. But what if self-discipline is an essential part of loving yourself?

I don’t know about you, but lately, I’ve been feeling really burnt out. Heavy. Severely fatigued, and quite frankly — in desperate need of a damn nap 24/7. These perpetual feelings have made it difficult to focus on any work tasks at hand or maintain the motivation to strive towards the goals that usually light me up.

The lack of motivation has wrapped me up like an itchy blanket. I’ve become complacent. To take care of myself, I’ve been indulging in too much junk food, neglecting workouts, binge-watching T.V. shows, and sleeping in…basically every day. But that’s not really taking care of myself at all.

Life comes in waves. Some seasons in our lives pose more challenges than others, and the tough seasons never last forever. But, you have to actively work your way through those seasons. It’s not enough to sit idly by and hope that things are going to get better by sheer nature.
