What is the first thing that pops up in your mind when you hear the word relaxation?

Are you drinking a cocktail on an exotic beach? Or are you turning bottles partying with your friends? Or is it even something just as simple as reading a book or watching a movie on a weekend night?

Whatever it is, let me tell you one thing to be sure of — your body, mind, and soul are not going to get the relaxation they require. Here’s why.

When the body and the mind are constantly overworked, their capacity for efficiency depletes. Modern social life, work, and food make it hard for us to relax — even entertainment has become difficult to serve the purpose of relaxation.

Most of us spend an immense amount of physical and mental energy in tension, although we are trying to relax in a manner we believe will make us rest. Many of the activities require keeping our muscles engaged and our minds agitated. This way, a great amount of physical and mental energy is wasted uselessly.

Let me ask you another question — how are your mood swings? Are you repressing any emotions or intense irritation?
