How a rapper from Kerala cracked the code to peak performance
A rapper from Kerala, in the South of India, who goes by the stage name Hanumankind, made his Coachella debut this year, a first for the region he hails from.
In a video that’s been viewed over a million times on Instagram, he speaks about his routine before a big performance:
“On show days, I try and train a little bit, do some breath work and call a few people — just like, ‘hey, I am about to do this…I’d appreciate if you thought about me a little bit’”.
That, in a nutshell, sounds like what everyone needs in life to bring out their best self:
- physical readiness;
- mental preparation; and
- human connection.
Not one or the other but all three, in perfect balance.
