If You’ve Reached a Plateau in Life, Don’t be Afraid to Jump

It’s the ups and downs in life that keep you moving forward and arriving at a plateau does not mean calm, it mean you have stagnated and need to do something to shake things up.

Do you remember what it was like being in college or if not school, then discovering what you believed to be your calling or life’s purpose? Maybe, your first interest was your dream but you found you weren’t cut out for it. This realization may have left you feeling bereft, especially if you had spent a great deal of time and effort into pursuing it, continuing to push yourself in that direction unable to let go of what was more fantasy than goal.

Then you searched for another love, something else that would light you on fire, make you want to get up in the morning and delay going to bed at night. Maybe this was a second love, not as shiny as the first and thus left on the back burner which you now come to realize is a much better fit that the shiny one. Or perhaps it took a lot of time and trying on many new things before you met up with what you could see as your future endeavor.

You dived into this new love, gave it everything you had and succeeded. Got the degree, gained the skills or obtained the job that let you put your new dream into action. The world seemed brighter, the colors more vivid, the air sweeter…
