Items You Need If You Work from Home

Many of us don’t like working from home but to make things easier and comfortable for us, I have found a few items that may help you to enjoy working from home. Sometimes a few simple things like keeping your work space organised and tidy will help motivate you.

1. Blue Light Glasses — starting from $65
   If your job consists of needing to use any device and you are always looking at screens then blue light glasses is what you need. They protect your eyes by blocking out the blue light and help prevent headaches and eye strain. You can also add these to your prescription glasses if you wear them. The link that I have put up is from Quay Australia which start from $65 and up but you can definitely visit other sites like Amazon or Eyebuydirect which start from $35.
2. Desk Organiser (Amazon) — $34
   WFH means that you need an area where you able to focus on what you need to do and having a clear and neat desk is what you need. This desk organiser will help you keep everything all in one place and will not clutter your working space. The Amazon 3 Tier organiser is a great desk organiser that has 3 drawers to store anything with a shelf at the top to have visible items.
   Another desk organiser (Amazon) — $22.05
   This is another version of a desk organiser and if you are someone who works with a lot of papers or documents you might like this organiser better. It has an upright document holder with 5 sections that you can organise your files in. Along with that you can put your other small nik naks in the other compartments.
   Desk Organiser (Target) — $29
   This Target desk organiser is a bit cheaper and can hold pens, post it notes, business cards, other small nik naks and most of all you can wireless charge your phone and in addition to that there are 2 USB ports at the back of the organiser.
3. Privacy Screen — $13.99
   This is a great accessory for anyone. If you work on a lot of confidential files or don’t like people peering into what you are doing/working on then this is exactly what you need; a privacy screen. If anyone then tries to glance at your screen all they will see if a blackened screen, you will only be able to see your screen if you are sitting straight on. This is a great option for anyone to use, I like to also use this because if I was sitting on public transport and using my laptop I know that the people left or right of me won’t be able to view what I am doing. This would also be a great option for students studying, this is just an overall great accessory for anyone to use on their laptop.
4. Webcam Cover — $8.99
   Many of us are always video chatting/conferencing with other employees or even with friends but when you end the call sometimes there is a possibility of being hacked even if you have ended the call. So for that you want added privacy and security and this webcam cover is what you need. It is thin and doesn’t interfere with your webcam and most of all you can still close your laptop without any bulge. All you have to do is slide the cover on when you are not using it.
5. Laptop Stand for Desk — $36.99 / Another alternative — $33.99
   If you are always working on a laptop for long hours you need this. You might be hunching over to use your laptop or might experience neck, shoulder and back pains because your posture isn’t correct, with this laptop stand you are able to sit straight and your eyes will be level with the computer screen. It is also great if your laptop overheats sometimes so the air can circulate and it will cool the laptop and prevent it from overheating at times.
6. Stylus Pen (For Devices) — $20.99
   If you own a tablet or an iPad and work a lot on it but don’t want to spend money on an expensive Apple pencil then this is the next best thing. This works amazingly well with any device, it does everything just like the Apple pencil. This is also very light weight and has a nice fine point tip to easily write with. What I love about this is if you don’t use it for around 5 minutes then it will automatically turn off and save its battery.
7. Phone Holder/Stand — $11.99
   Sometimes you use your phone a lot for work purposes, and if you do you need this phone stand. I love being able to see my phone without having to look down and this is just easy for when I need to respond to notifications/calls or even if I need to look between my phone and computer screen to do something. Why I love this better than any other phone stand is that you can adjust the height and angle of the stand which you can’t do with most other stands.
