Did you know that eating an avocado every day can help redistribute belly fat?

A study from The University of Illinois Urbana took one hundred & five overweight women in a randomised controlled trial.

The trial provided one meal a day for 12 weeks.

Women consuming avocado as part of their daily meal reduced deeper visceral abdominal fat!

The study was led by Salman Khan, a Kinesiology and community health professor.

The Hass avocado board funded the study, later published in Nutrition.

Weight loss was not the goal: “The interest uncovered what eating an avocado does to the way individuals store their body fat.” Khan said.

Our abdomen contains two kinds of fat.

Fat that accumulates under the skin (subcutaneous fat)

Visceral fat accumulates deeper in the abdomen (and is most dangerous).
