You are in love with someone who wants to move on. You are in pain, and even the thought of a life without them kills you. I understand — I have been there before, most people have.

Still, you are unable to accept the end of the relationship, and I get it. You love this person with all your might, and even if the love isn't mutual, you can't accept their departure. It hurts too much. However, the end of this relationship might be the start of something beautiful for the two of you.

“If you love someone set them free”

Let's be honest. It will be hard. The truth is that all breakups are awful, even toxic relationships. Breakups leave us vulnerable, and we often blame ourselves for it. Thinking this way makes it even harder to navigate in society. We lose the sense of our value and potential.

When a relationship is at a breaking point, and you still have feelings for the other person is hard to accept they want to move on. You will do everything to convince them to stay even if you know they don't love you anymore. Nothing they say matters because all you care about is protecting yourself from the pain that will come when they leave. But think for a moment, what if it were you?
