My Best Teaching
In London I’ve taken many, many, photographs. Mainly of people: action pictures of performers, and portraits. And street scenes, of course. But the ones I loved most — felt most inspired by — were bits of brick, the wheel of a bike, decayed posters and paint. Rubbish and rubble.
The “little things” my father spoke of. Finding Beauty where least expected. Where no one has looked before — as I saw the seemingly useless discards of civilization in the mental hospital.
That was my best teaching.
