My Colleague Listed Many Causes of Workplace Fatigue. To Me, Only [This] 1 Matters.

“It’s just so tiring to work with that guy. He is so disorganized!”
That was Isabelle at her desk, lamenting. Everyone heard her. And everyone knew why.
Kenneth is not the best person to work with.
For one, this young consultant believes in winging it. Kenneth also believes in getting work done without referencing the project schedule. He delivers, but is a little too ad-hoc for Isabelle’s liking.
Isabelle needs structure and predictability.
This clash of personas… is wearing her out.

I understand why Isabelle is annoyed.
That said, I know that is not the real cause of her articulate annoyance. She has been with the firm for 3 years and has worked with personalities from all walks of life. Kenneth is not the worst one, per se.
At least, not that I know of.
