“What a BL00DY waste of my time.”
This was the Teams message I received when I started work this morning. I was bewildered. What did I ask Kevin to do that was [so] unbearable and atrocious?
That said, Kevin is a professional. He attended to my request first. His lion’s roar came after.
I respect him for this.
And so, I decided to ask why he thinks what he thinks.
That said, let’s start the story where it began.
The day before (morning)
One of our client engagements is coming to an end.
It was a technical consulting engagement. I sold 10 days of work to help our client upgrade their software. They needed help, so this deal went smoothly.
Kevin was the technical consultant I put forward to our clients. He is good at his work, and he loves all things backend. He was my best bet.
And I told him multiple times that the client loved him. Kevin was a tech whizz who could foresee issues and prevent them.
