As I reluctantly grew into my 40-year-old self, I realised that this was when I needed to create non-negotiable life rules.
For years I have let people, circumstances and life events affect my well-being, and as you get older, resentfulness brews inside of you and causes disharmony.
For me, it’s a pain and discomfort in the gut — whereas others may experience high blood pressure, cravings or depression.
I guess you could say that my gut and stomach become somewhat depressed and anxious, silently creating inflammation all over my body.
You can’t control what happens in everyday life, but you can make it easy on yourself by practising moments of self-care and love -which is a non-negotiable in my book.
It’s not an indulgence to look after your spiritual well-being and mental & physical health.
