Stress is a modern-day workplace killer.

That, I agree. Life at work is getting incrementally stressful as days pass.

You rise through the ranks, fist bump with ambitious folks, workload swells exponentially, and you must deal with human morale and motivation.

  • Sometimes, you get escalated by folks in your team.
  • Sometimes, you get marked by your boss because of slipping KPIs.

These are beyond stressful events. It takes a certain personality to rise through the ranks and stay there. I have never met a softie or pushover in the C-Suite.

They would fold without knowing what went on.

To me, this is the real reason Shareen tendered.

Workplace stress is like oxygen

It’s everywhere.

I met Shareen years back. She is one of those early hires in my current company. I think her employee pass indexed her as # 7. I am # 47. She is an early bird.

Shareen was initially hired as an entity accountant for the German market.
