New Year, New You? Not Without Radical Responsibility
Break Your Limiting Beliefs Before They Take Over Another Year
Yesterday I came home from seeing the family for Christmas and cried.
I had a lovely time, mind you. I saw my nieces, ate good food; and read a book (I’m back into Game of Thrones, again!). I switched off, something I’ve felt desperate to do after the challenging year 2024.
I was feeling the opposite of re-energised; like I’d stepped right back into the quicksand I was in before I left. I felt stuck again.
If you’re reading this and have felt stuck this year and are looking at 2025 through a gloomy lens, I see and feel you. Let’s have compassion for this part of us, it’s a hard place to be.
My year felt like banging my head against a wall of problems, with no perceived solution, creating a sense of helplessness that has hovered in my mind as if to say, “You think you’ll do better next year, huh? Good joke”.
I’m not here to invalidate your problems, or say you shouldn’t feel “stuck”, but I do want to point out a need to address some potential limiting beliefs before the New Year.
It was a hard conversation I had to have with myself yesterday.
