One major flaw for many healthy people who watch their food intake — is unhealthy blood results, particularly cholesterol levels.

Most of us are unaware of culprit foods because they are classed as ‘healthy’, and their usage is encouraged through social media and many other innocent mediums.

To an extent, these foods are much better than others — but they can still cause some health issues for many people, no matter how healthy you may be.

Take plant-based food, for starters. It’s considered the most recommended diet globally, yet it can contain a lot of saturated fats, which may cause long-term health issues.

Since there are a lot of ingredient swaps in vegan foods, it can become quite a bit of a shock to see how poor health can go unnoticed for some time.

An ingredient I use all the time is coconut oil.

It’s one of the main ingredients in frozen meals, baked goods, and dairy substitutes.
