One of the key reasons I decided to try intermittent fasting was because my gut health was so bad.

It affected me both professionally and mentally.

It’s not the most comfortable conversation with anyone, and there is a lot of fear-based around revealing health issues that don’t necessarily have any medical explanation.

Using phrases like “My gut has a mind of its own” or “I’m immobilised from pain and discomfort in my gut” can seem like poor excuses to get out of doing those necessary duties in your life (like work).

Years ago, I had a very aggressive manager who was what you would call a bully.

While I served in that company, I developed some very uncomfortable gut issues, affecting my mood, concentration and ability to work at my best.

I just kept on making mistakes over and over again.

I received the worst backlash and attack from every angle.
