People With Autism Are Set to Be the First to Lose Their Right to Medical and Healthcare Privacy, but They Won’t Be The Last
RFK Jr. proposes a broad sweep of American’s previously private medical records.
Three weeks into Autism Awareness Month, the Trump administration is doubling down on its troublesome distortion of autism and is now putting their misinformed prejudices into frightening action.
RFK Jr. is the current US Secretary of Health and Human Services. He’s also a public conspiracy theorist, especially when it comes to the subject of autism. He holds no degrees in any form of healthcare, but he has some strong and unfounded opinions about what autism is and what it is not.
I suppose I’m writing part 2 of this piece first. If you want to read up on what RFK Jr. had to say about autism earlier this week, a quick google search will take care of that for you.
What I’m writing about today is the disturbing headline that RFK Jr. is planning on accessing private healthcare records of people with autism. Tracking people with ASD (Autism Spectrum disorder) in a database is fascist and terrifying.
