Resist the Ever-Tempting Urge to Fight For Answers

Allow yourself to flow with the questions.

We all find ourselves clouded in questions that do not seem to offer satisfactory answers, at any given moment.

Time and again, situations leave us so scattered in our ability to make sense of them, that we crave an understanding so bad, so deep, and so fast.

However, we struggle to find the sense we seek;

And often, we aren’t offered the answers that would maybe slightly, make our paths clearer;

All of this, for reasons that we can’t conceive of, for reasons that we can’t even place a guarantee on;

Because the unknown reasons are the answers.

It is during the moments we feel a burning desire to be owed some answers, that we need to resist that desire to fight our own sense of entitlement.

When we fight for answers that we think we deserve — it is nothing but our crazy (and sometimes delusional) entitled selves trying to make a case for us.

Yes, we all have a right to clarity;

And we can choose to flow through the chaos until we get there;

What we don’t get to choose is, when (how fast) we get there.

It’s probably one of the hardest things we might have to do, and that too time and again –

But we need to resist our urge to fight for answers;

We need to stop thinking and feeling that we are owed the perfect meaning and understanding, in accordance with our idealistic timelines.

When we begin to believe that we need to fight our way into meaning, is exactly when we need to stop;

Because things will make sense when they have to — when you’re ready to take the meaning for what it is, and not for what you want it to be;

Because when you create your own right timing, the answers rise up to you.

Because you are not meant to fight for what is already on its way to you.

Right now, is not the time for you to see through to the other side — now is the time for you to start making way to the other side, one step at a time — even though you can’t really see the end.

To make little efforts to learn to rest when our instincts guide us to fight, is our only way to allow the clouds to pass rather than settle.

We don’t need to fight our way to the answers we seek;

By nurturing the right questions in our mind, we can flow with those questions towards the right answers.

The next time you find yourself a bit lost (as we all do from time to time) — resist your urge to fight, and flow instead — because that’s the only thing you owe to yourself.
