“Life is simple but we insist on making it complicated.” ~ Confucius.

Life was never meant to become complicated, it was always meant to be very simple. When your life becomes more simple, you will create more space to re-think about your life and relax in your own space without disruption.

You’re able to think clearly and appreciate the art of simplicity.

Simplicity brings concentration, clarity, focus, and relaxation.

Having more makes your life overwhelming and having less makes your life more simple to live. To live a simple life is to live your life more mindfully.

We all remembered what it was like to finish seven homework in one week in school and finish ten tasks before your shift ends in thirty minutes.

Being busy all the time doesn’t mean you’re happy in life.

Life becomes complicated and overwhelming because humans made it that way. It’s easier for us to forget what it’s like to stop for a moment and relax.

I’ll show you seven little ways you can simplify your life for the better.

1#. Clean Your Own Home.

How do you feel after cleaning your home?

It feels like the heavyweight on your shoulder has disappeared and you’re able to focus and concentrate again. It’s easier for you to relax and recharge your energy in a clean space without all the mess getting in the way.

You can judge someone based on their home because their home represents their personality.

If your home is dark and empty, it means you’re a sad human. If your home is clean and full of light, it means you’re a happy human.

I feel so much better mentally after cleaning my room. It helps me to concentrate better and become more creative.

When I am in a messy room, I become stressed out. It distracts me and disturbs my peace. I’m sure you feel the same way as I do.

Organize your home and your mind becomes organized.

It’s a simple thing but so effective if you apply it.

“Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love brought together under one roof.” ~ Nate Berkus.

2#. Remove Toxic People Out of Your Life.

You can’t become happier if you’re around angry people.

Toxic people will only make your life more messy and complicated. It can mess up with your mind and you will overthink more about never feeling good enough.

Removing people who are not on the same level as you will remove the heavyweight off your shoulder and you will feel like a free bird again.

People influence other people. The environment you’re in will affect your mental health and emotional well-being. Be selective of who you let in.

There is no need to have people in your life if they don’t understand your true self.

It’s okay to accept the fact that some people don’t want peace, they want problems. It’s challenging to change those people because they’re too far gone in their heads.

Choose people who want peace just like you.

“You cannot build a deep connection with someone who is disconnected from themselves.” ~ Yung Pueblo.

3#. Affirm In The Morning.

Your thoughts are affirmations and saying some simple affirmations once you wake up helps to put you in a better mood where you feel better about yourself.

Affirmations such as “I’m so blessed in many ways.” and “I’m the most amazing person.” helps to remind you of being thankful for the small things you have and knowing your self-worth.

Your body is reacting to every thought you have. If you insult yourself every day, your body will react and become weaker with time.

If you give your body love, it becomes stronger.

There was a rice experiment where they insulted the first rice and complimented the second rice daily for thirty days. The first rice started to age badly and the second still looked like freshly cooked rice. You can look it up.

Your words have the power to change your well-being.

“You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.” ~ Marianne Williamson.

4#. Reduce More Waste In Your Life.

When you reduce more waste in your life, your home becomes a more simple place to be in. More plastic bag means your home becomes messier.

You don’t have to be an extreme environmentalist but small changes can have a big impact on your life (and the environment.)

I recommend sticking to reusable and biodegradable items.

Sciencefocus.com tells “Biodegradable plastics take three to six months to decompose fully. That’s much quicker than synthetic counterparts that take several hundred years.”

Remind yourself to use reusable bags every time you go shopping for food or items. Replace plastic straws with reusable straws and a plastic bottle with a reusable bottle.

Not only does it make your life more simple, but you save money as well.

It helps you to organize your life and your life becomes simpler.

“The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.” ~ Paulo Coelho.

5#. Take a 10 Minute Walk Daily.

Webmd.com tells this, “Walking helps boost your mood because it increases blood flow and blood circulation to the brain and body.”

This is a very simple and effective habit to apply.

It doesn’t matter if it’s winter or summer, as long as you’re going out for some fresh air. Be aware of how you feel emotionally when you come home after going on a short walk near your local park.

How do you feel? Happier? Wonderful.

Taking a walk is a different way to meditate. You enjoy the moment while moving your body and you’re aware of your surroundings without judgment.

You enjoy moving your body in nature or a local park because the view represents peace and relaxation.

Taking a walk gives you new ideas and inspirations for the day. You feel energized, productive, and more alive than before you went out.

You get a good feeling after moving your body a little bit. It’s very simple to take a walk outside near nature but it does so much for your physical, emotional, and mental health.

“A walk in nature walks the soul back home.” ~ Mary Davis.

6#. Buy Less of What You Don’t Need.

Buying more non-essential materials doesn’t mean you will be happy, and it’s only temporary satisfaction. You can have so many things in life and still feel emotionally empty.

If you buy less of what you don’t need, your home will stay clean and organized. There is no need to buy 100 shoes if you’re only gonna use 3 of them anyway.

Buying a lot of stuff will only make you stressed out because you find yourself not having enough space for them in your home and they are all around the floor.

Buying what you really need is a great investment for your personal growth and it makes your home look more simple.

You will feel much more relieved after not buying what you need because you find out you didn’t need it after all.

“We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like.” ~ Dave Ramsey.

7#. Finish One Task Before Starting a New One.

I believe multi-tasking is effective without harm if you listen to audiobooks while you’re cooking or exercising while you’re talking with your friend on the phone.

I write one article at a time instead of writing multiple articles at a time. It helps me to stay in focus without feeling overwhelmed.

I focus on one task before starting another test. When you focus on one task, you become less stressed out. It’s time to work smart, not hard.

If multitasking is natural for you and doesn’t harm your mental health, go for it. Some people become stressed out if they have many tasks in their hands and it’s not for everyone.

If you find yourself multi-tasking suddenly, stop for a moment and take a break. No human is able to handle many things in a short time without breaking down because we’re not robots.

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.” ~ Hans Hofmann.

It can be difficult to change your habits to simplify your life for the better but I promise you the change is worth it, you just have to be patient with yourself.

You will notice remarkable results just by decluttering all the unnecessary parts you no longer need in your life.

When your life is less messy, your presence becomes more comfortable to be in.

Living a very simplistic life helps you to feel less stressed out on life and you’re able to enjoy your life more than you ever did.

Society has taught us we always have to be busy and you find yourself doing one work after another and thinking this is a normal thing when it’s not.

Animals live a very simple life and do it better than humans.

The best things in life are very simple.
