The Hardest Thing You Can Do Right Now

Look around you

In one of the most challenging times I’ve been in, I actually looked back and can see all the progress I’ve made.

I wasn’t the same person I was 365 days ago. I’ve improved in all aspects, but it’s easier to focus on what’s missing than what you actually have. Today, I look around me, and I see how blessed I am.

It’s a joy to watch how much I’m growing, and I’m thankful for everything going on.

I call it the hardest thing you can do because it’s not easy to just stop and look for the good things already happening, when you’re expecting something else to happen.

It’s hard but you should try it too. You may not be where you want to be, but take your time and think of where you used to be. It may not be materially; it could be the relationships you’ve entered into; could be your mental space; could be your spiritual life.

As cliché as this has become, the good thing about looking at all the good around you is you attract more good things to you. It’s the law of nature.

No matter how bad things might be for you, there’s definitely an area you have improved in. And if you remain positive long enough, you’ll see why you needed to go through this phase.
