I used to be scared of bananas.

When I was competing -they were off-limits due to their carb content.

I believe we were conditioned to become ignorant about macronutrients -personal trainers are the worst culprits.

No dismissal here or anything, but we should spend the time to back up any theories which so-called professionals try to fill our heads with.

Taking bananas out of your life is a mistake — unless you don’t like them or are allergic.

For all of us, other folks looking to better our health, maintain and lose weight, and maintain our energy, bananas are for you.

Why are bananas so popular anyway? They taste pretty good and are highly portable. Sometimes it’s just easier to grab a banana and put it in your bag to have on hand when hunger strikes. Of course, you can opt for a protein bar, but bananas are much better.

Just in case you didn’t know — bananas aren’t what you think they are.
