To the Man Wearing Speedos on The Beach
I used to judge you but things have changed
I saw you from across the beach.
You were wearing speedos over your tanned body, and you had a swagger that could have been out of Baywatch.
I was surprised at how the tiny bit of fabric covered the you-know-what’s.
Maybe that’s why you wore them.
Everything about you screamed confidence. From the way you stood with your hips slightly forward, to the way you ran, laughed, and joked with your friends; to the way you flexed your muscles, oiled your skin, and flicked your bleach blonde hair.
Many people are going to look at you and judge.
They’re going to look at you and think you’re arrogant and self-centred.
They’re going to think you’re too confident.
They’re going to think you’re trying to attract the gaze of women.
They’re going to think you’re shallow and vain for focusing so much on your appearance.
They’re going to assume you’re one of the “cool guys” who gets his own way far too much.
They’re going to think you’re having amazing sex (all the time).
