How many people do you know who like getting older? I love getting older!

Yes. My body is changing, and my eyesight is not as good as it used to be. You can say I consider that a curve thrown at me by Mother Nature to keep me on top of my health and getting my exercise as often as possible. Challenge accepted!

I believe there is such a thing as positive aging. This means I feel good about myself, keep fit, active and healthy. The point is to engage in my life fully as I grow older. Although I remember being quite happy in my thirties, I can’t say the same about my fifties. I think that, in my 60s, the best is yet to come.

Age has brought a growing appreciation for what is good about life. With every passing day, the list grows longer. These days I put in the work to meet more friends and create meaningful relationships. I’m not doing this just because I have more time, but because I care more about it.

Every year that goes by, I view life with a broader meaning and care more deeply. Each year I tend to worry less about how things will ‘turn out’. A lot of times I pretty much know the answer.

I’ve noticed that I’ve become less dramatic and more thoughtful. I tend to think before I act a lot more — this has been life-changing. Each…
