If you find yourself longing for a lost love, you are not alone. Humans have been dealing with this problem for millenniums. This terrible ailment has led people to great misery and unhappiness. And inspired by their sorrow and grief, men and women have given birth to great poetry and music—poems and songs millions of people identify with.

Not being able to forget someone you can't be with is unhealthy and detrimental. Nothing the world has to offer makes you happy, not when the one your heart yearns for is far. The world moves on, but you feel stuck in the past.

A new sun rises each day, but to you is, all the same, your mind is focused on the one you care for, and you feel that nothing matters until you die or have them. If only you had the power to change it all. However, that is not possible, and time keeps moving forward. And all you have going for you is longing and regret.

You may even feel guilty, and you blame yourself for this separation. Maybe it was something you did or said, and now that you've realized it, it is even more agonizing. Getting over that person is more difficult when you think it is all on you.
