ChangeDAO launches with “Awaken Your Inner Child” NFT Giving Drop

On December 6, 2022, ChangeDAO’s first-of-its-kind independent platform for NFT Giving officially went live on Ethereum’s mainnet, with the launch of Awaken Your Inner Child, a collaborative project featuring the works of the Inner Children, 27 talented artists from around the world. The project supports Upbring’s Crypto Endowment Fund for Better Childhoods and builds community around the cause of child welfare using art, storytelling and blockchain technology.
“We have been building for 18 months — through bull and bear — to meet Changemaker needs. As an independent grassroots marketplace, I am so grateful for our team, who brought ChangeDAO’s NFT Giving platform to life. It is a privilege to go to market with this trailblazing group of artists to support such an important cause,” says Founder and Changemaker, David All.
The charity drop was a blind mint featuring childlike “refrigerator-worthy art” from the collective Inner Children, 27 NFT artists and web3 Changemakers led by Bryan Brinkman and Rizzle. Each artists’ NFT had 20 editions, priced at $20 USD each, with reveal taking place upon sell out, at which point collectors will discover which artists’ piece they have minted.
“I’m so proud to be a part of this project because it shows how we can leverage a small group of artists to improve the lives of so many children and families,” says Brinkman. “I’ve spent a year learning about Upbring and all the good they do, and I look forward to sharing the art and stories with the community.”
Funds raised through the primary mint sale of the NFTs went to Upbring’s Crypto Endowment Fund for Better Childhoods, the first national nonprofit cryptocurrency endowment fund. Upbring created the Fund in partnership with The Giving Block earlier this year to sustainably finance cutting-edge technology, business, and programmatic solutions that break the cycle of child abuse.
With the project now sold out, community members can view the collection on OpenSea.
