Just To Be Clear

Let me preface this writing by stating that I am not against immigration. I am an immigrant who arrived legally in this great country through the port of Houston from South America.
I do take umbrage, though, with illegal immigration and the unfettered access of unknown entities through an open border.
I lock my doors at home and have a wall/fence around my house to deter unwanted and unauthorized access into my domain. As a sovereign nation, it makes no sense that we refuse to act likewise.

For all those who profess open borders as a good idea, I ask if you would be willing to share your home with one or more strangers who scampered illegally across the border. Would you let them use your car, eat your food, use your cell phone, etc?

Regardless of your answer, by allowing our government to do this, you, I, and all of us are already doing it.
