Chann Bangkok Noi — Experience Luxury Lifestyle near a River

Bangkok is a huge and busy city in Southeast Asia that is teeming with life. However, there are still places where you can stay that are not reached by noise and revelry and that is Chann Bangkok Noi. Chann Bangkok Noi gives visitors the impression of a simple and warm life because the designers provided the hotel with a simple and welcoming design to make feel guests at ease from the time they enter its doors.

The capital city of Thailand is divided among different areas. Sukhumvit which is one of the more popular places for tourists and expats is filled with high end hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. However, if nightlife is not your thing, the quieter Chao Phraya Riverside where you will find Chann Bangkok Noi will definitely suit your lifestyle. The hotel is located behind the Dusidaram Temple (Wat Dusit) which is approximately 45 minutes away from Suvarnabhumi Airport, one of the two international airports that are serving Bangkok.

One of the landmarks that is near Chann Bangkok Noi is Wat Pho or more popularly known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. The temple is always one of the first visited by tourists because it is the oldest temple of Bangkok and home to more than 1,000 images of Buddha. Most of images came from other abandoned temples in Ayutthaya and Sukhothai.

The enormous image of the gold plated reclining Buddha is 46 meters long. The soles of the Buddha’s feet measure approximately 3 meters high and 5 meters long. 108 segments on the feet are inlaid with mother of pearl that shows in great detail the auspicious characteristics of Buddha. 108 bowls along the image encourage people to donate their coins for good fortune.

Aside from the Reclining Buddha, Wat Pho is the center of knowledge and studies regarding traditional Thai medicine. The massage school that was founded in the temple still exists today and massage courses are given to anyone who is interested to learn. It is only fitting to learn traditional Thai medicine because Thailand is becoming a haven for tourists who seek rejuvenation through holistic programs in detox spas.
