Hawker scored a pair of second-half goals to open a scoreless game at halftime …

The Danville Blast U-15 travel squad scored a trio of second-half goals on its way to a 3–1 win over the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville (SOCA) in Skyline League action Saturday at Dan Daniel Memorial Park.

After a scoreless first half that saw both squads have plenty of opportunities to get onto the scorecard, Jadon Hawker broke the deadlock when he hammered home a shot into the right side of the net that gave Danville (4–0) a 1–0 edge eight minutes into the second period.

Hawker struck again 10 minutes later, taking a beautiful thru ball in the middle of the pitch and finishing his shot to double down on the Blast’s lead.

SOCA was able to cut its lead in half with a goal off a deflection a few minutes later but Danville’s Cameron Stephens pushed the Blast’s lead back to two when he headed in a ball of a Hawker corner kick, leading to the final score.

Danville currently sits atop of the standings with 12 points. The Blast have outscored their opponents 24–4 over the first four games of the season.

Danville returns to action next Saturday when it takes on Valley United Green at 12 p.m. at Dan Daniel.
