Simple Everyday Earthquakes
We often think that epiphanies are outwardly impressive experiences, or earthquakes with the sky falling on our heads, but they usually manifest in simple everyday moments
My friend Natasha told me during a phone call that she would skip her workout because her body sent her a message to do so.
“I need to rest. It is selfcare”.
She paused for a few seconds, and then she said — as if thinking out loud— “…but I also did that last Saturday. …On Wednesday, too. Is it selfcare, or …?”.
There! There it is! This wonderful gap of seconds, followed by an epiphany. That’s what makes humans such a great species; these tiny moments when awareness and ourselves are in the same frequency.
I walk in a glass snowSphere I project.
Automation’s wind pulls my strings.
My quiver’s potential divine arrows
wait patiently between my inactive wings. No one can force me to use them.
External stimuli are just an …opportoon.
When my caterpillars are ready to 𝔟𝔲𝔱𝔱𝔢𝔯-fly,
my arrows smash the glass cocoon.
