ChapterX Basics — How to chat with new friends?

Connecting with like-minded people in ChapterX!

There’s tons of ways to interact with fellow players and friends once you’ve entered our metaverse. From text chat, private messages, voice chat and Town Halls, we’ve got you covered with this handy guide. 💬

Meet friends in ChapterX!

ChapterX makes it easy to make new friends in the metaverse.

1. To Chat with anyone: click bottom left chat box and you can type in the public chat of that area.

The chat box is your go-to destination to see what’s up with fellow players.

2.By clicking on any in-game avatar, you can add another user to your friends list or send them direct messages.

Build a friends list and keep in touch with your homies!

3. To direct message your friends (only after they have accepted your friends request).

Private messages — for conversations better suited for the down-low.

You’ll be directed to a private chat box after private messaging.

Your direct message with a friend is encrypted in the speech bubble, so others won’t know what you are talking about (whispering)

4. To join voice chat in the voice chat zone ONLY: Click the microphone icon, click Join voice and don’t forget to unmute your microphone!

Voice zones are active throughout each world in ChapterX.

Once your microphone is on, your microphone icon will appear RED.

Joining a Town Hall

Select the teal cog at the top of the page

Select the first icon to open the Town Hall feature, then browse for conversations

Town Halls are a great way to meet fellow players in dedicated and moderated settings. Here’s how!

1. Click teal cog at the top of your page
2. Select the first icon at the top then pick a Town Hall to join
3. Once you’ve selected, sit back and enjoy the chat!
