We’ve been busy pushing forward many initiatives that we’re excited to share with our community today!

ETHCC Hack-a-thon
We’re excited to co-host the 3 day in-person/virtual ETHCC Gitcoin Hack-a-thon 2021! Our team members Ben Lakoff and Elyx0 will be in Paris at the event; which is both in person in Paris as well as virtual! The event runs from July 23–25, 2021.
Whitelisting NFT Contracts
The ability to whitelist contracts minted on other NFT platforms is something we’re especially pumped up about! This means that NFTs minted on other platforms will be viewable on Charged Particles; giving our community the ability to ‘charge’ up NFTs minted on other platforms.
We’ll be rolling out the ability to whitelist NFT contracts one platform at a time. Here are the initial platforms we’re targeting:
- Rarible
- Cryptovoxels
- Decentraland
- Async
- SuperRare
We’ll be going live with Rarible this week and will be rolling out the others on roughly a once-a-week schedule moving forward. We’ve also whitelisted a contract with SupraOrbs; a decentralized casino that uses chargeable “NFT Gems”!
Charged Particles Accelerator
As we’ve mentioned in our initial announcement of our Charged Particles Accelerator; we have two independent projects currently building on our protocol. One is in the gaming space and the other in the NFT trading card space; both leveraging the power of our protocol!
We’re also extremely excited to be putting together a Hack-a-thon that will last the entire month of September. We’re still in the initial stages of putting together the details and partner companies who will also be participating; but we’re eager to host our own Hack-a-thon and wanted to host one that was longer in duration to really give people and projects an opportunity to leverage our technology over a longer timeline.
New Website, Marketplace, Search Functionality
We’re busy working away on a new and improved website, including our homepage, new marketplace, improved search and functionality, and design. As our wonderful community of artists has expanded we will be moving from a more curated marketplace to an open marketplace where all works will be searchable and pieces will be able to be tagged for improved search functionality and sorting mechanisms. We’ll still have a curated section highlighting various artists, projects and partnerships which will be our Artist Spotlight. Speaking of artists and influencers, we have a legendary lineup of artists, influencers and amazing folks we’ll be working with as we roll through 2021.

NFT Liquidity Mining
We’re about 2 months away from launching NFT Liquidity Mining. This means ‘Charged’ NFTs will be able to be staked for our supported tokens. NFT Liquidity mining will initially be supported by $IONX and $AAVE.
About Charged Particles
Charged Particles is a protocol that allows users to deposit ERC-20 tokens(ANY tokens) into an NFT. A scarce NFT (e.g. Art, Collectible, Virtual Real Estate, In-Game Item, etc.) can now be transformed into a basket holding a number of other tokens. The Principal amount can be time-locked inside the NFT, and through integration with Aave’s aTokens, the programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
