DeFi NFTs, Genesis Mints, Augmented Reality Phygital Paintings, “The Red Man”, and ROBNESS, all for a fraction of a penny in gas fees.

It’s been almost two weeks since Charged Particles launched on Polygon, bringing DeFi NFTs to this incredible Layer 2, proof-of-stake blockchain, and to help us celebrate, more than a thousand people came together in Cryptovoxels to the beautiful gallery designed specifically for this event by Richard Dixon. (VISIT HERE)

After an incredible opening set by New Zealand-based electronica act, Beacon Bloom (who were featured on Forbes recently for their NFT drop with Charged Particles), we went on to unveil the protocol on the Polygon Mainnet as well as announcing the upcoming Collector’s Guild, a program designed to reward collectors in the greater Charged Particles ecosystem.

The main event, of course, was the release of some truly incredible collections of NFT art, available for purchase in MATIC on the Charged Particles marketplace (be sure to connect your wallet with the Matic Network). The event was proud to celebrate men, women, and non-binary artists from all over the world, and the collections are truly stunning.

As you can see, the caliber of art at this event was incredibly high. From Anthony Azekwoh’s “Red Man,” a piece which has nearly a quarter million likes on Twitter, to ROBNESS’ genesis collection on his v2 wallet and Polygon, and interest-bearing phygital paintings from Alana Tashjian and Soundwaves Photon linked by NFC chips to the NFTs and enabled with AR functionality, there is a lot of excellent art to behold. You’ve never seen NFTs like these before (made possible by NFTags).

View these collections in their entirety HERE (with your wallet connected to the Matic Network) and be sure to follow all of these incredible talents on Twitter by scanning the QR codes on their bios!

As guests explored the digital gallery, headline musicians IMT, who we recently partnered with for their incredible album release event “First Inversion”, played an infectious, hour-long set of funk, disco, house, and live-looped horns — there was a lot of animated dancing!

With gas fees no longer a limiting factor, we’re incredibly excited to see the use-cases that the community begins to explore with Charged Particles. Among the many innovations just over the horizon are a wide variety of projects in the areas of gaming, finance, music, charity, as well as brand new ways for artists to make collaborative offerings.

About Charged Particles

Charged Particles is a protocol that allows users to deposit ERC-20 tokens(ANY tokens) into an NFT. A scarce NFT (e.g. Art, Collectible, Virtual Real Estate, In-Game Item, etc.) can now be transformed into a basket holding a number of other tokens. The Principal amount can be time-locked inside the NFT, and through integration with Aave’s aTokens, the programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
