On July 23rd (7PM NZST) and July 31st (4PM NZST), Charged Particles’ Ecology Guild & friends are hosting a metaverse event in Cryptovoxels focused on bringing together the arts, music, and Refi (regenerative finance). By making environmentalism fun and providing an insightful and rewarding experience, the goal is to inspire, encourage and incentivize individuals and platforms to find innovative methods to create real environmental change.

The event will feature music from Unchained as well as various performing DJs, a built-in art gallery displaying selections of artworks donated by generous artists in our community, a panel talk with speakers of various DAOs and Refi projects, an art auction of 36+ artworks where 100% of the proceeds will go to environmental organizations on Giveth. Giveth gives Givback tokens from the donation while the environmental organizations keep 100% of the donated funds. From these GivBacks, 50% of the proceeds will be sent to Grandmother Grove.

What is Grandmother Grove? It’s the Ecology Guild’s flagship project! Utilizing the Charged Particles Protocol, the goal of the project is to deposit interest-bearing tokens inside of a Proton NFT, and direct the interest annuities towards tree-planting projects/initiatives such as the Eden Project. This way, the principal balance is never touched and can continue to generate interest and plant trees indefinitely!

In addition to being a metaverse event, there is actually a physical event corresponding to ‘Return to Green’ in New Zealand! At the physical event, artists and attendees will be able to experience the metaverse and NFTs in an interactive way!

Finding ways to make Refi fun, impactful, and easy to get involved in is the hope and focus for the event. We hope to see everyone there!
