This article is for #1 Chatbots Developers Medium Blog, where you can get support from TOP chatbots developers (who works in or with Facebook, Google, Chatfuel, Telegram, Kik, Slack and others)

I am a huge fan of Pavel Durov in general and of Telegram in particular. So, since it was launched in 2013 I’ve been using it every day.

As you might know, bots are one of the latest updates for this messenger. Telegram is most interesting to look at because the bots have been around for longer and they have richer UI (compare with the Facebook platform), so if you want to see where Facebook bots might be heading to Telegram can give a glimpse into the future.

So, what exactly Telegram bots can they do and how they can help you?

I want to share with you some interesting bots that I found and tested:

  1. @Weathermanbot β€” simply add it to your contact list and you could always be aware of what’s going on with the weather in your city.hatc

2. @Wikipedia_voice_bot β€” browse Wiki directly in your messenger. It supports 9 languages. Just type something you are interested in and read the overview (or open the full version in your browser).

3. @Pomodoro_timer_bot β€” I really like technologies that increase your productivity (if you don’t know this one, check it out here) β€” Pomodoro Technique consists of 5 simple steps:

1. Choose the task

2. Start the timer

3. Work on the task until the timer rings

4. Take a short break (3–5 minutes)

5. After four pomodoros, take a longer break (15–30 minutes)

So, this bot helps you to track your time, be productive and especially stay productive :)

4. @delorean_bot β€” you can create notifications for yourself and send them to a point in the future to remind you at given point of created notification. (English & Russian only). It’s an easy way to remind yourself to write/call/buy/etc. something.

5. @GitHubBot – helps you to get notifications of events in your public GitHub repositories and post comments directly from Telegram.

6.@metricsbot β€” this nifty tool is basically a smart, little version of your google analytics account within Telegram. Without any restrictions it easily opens up the world of your statistics fast.

7. @GrowthBot β€” this bot sends you short and effective growth hacks each day. The first day was a hack how to create a bot (surprisingly :D)

8. @sticker β€” inline bot that helps you to find relevant stickers for your favourite emoji.

9. @onlinetoolsbot β€” this bot provides you with a toolbox full of useful products and marketing tools for startupers, product managers and marketers.

10. @jdqbot β€” merely for your inspiration. If you, like me, love buddhism use this bot to receive quotes from Buddhist masters of various Buddhist traditions on your fingertips. Just type a search term and enjoy the quote.
