1. Personal responses to every client

People prefer to have a personalised service and would actually pay for it. There are hundreds and thousands of websites and apps, build theoretically for everyone, but practically not suiting the exact needs of anyone. Contrary to that exists the possibility to actually have a personal assistant for all your dire needs while walking through the web; a smart programme providing you with help, which also opens new opportunities for promoting your own products, up-sales and special offers. By specialising services a personal assistant, or simply bot, can give you plenty $$$ in return.

2. A text interface requires less web traffic

A fact that can’t be ignored is today’s use of the internet. Approximately 50% of your clients merely use mobile internet; many without having unlimited internet access or a high speed connection. Why should anyone wait until a traffic-heavy website with dozens of images and ads will be completely loaded? I’d prefer to type to a bot and immediately get what I am looking for.

3. Low costs

How much does it normally cost to create a functioning business website or app? $5.000? $10.000? More importantly: Are you actually satisfied with the result? No? Some of your clients have an Android, other ones an early version of the iPhone, etc. With bots it’s completely different! Bots allow you to type from different devices suited for browsers and mobile apps.

Chatbots are much cheaper to develop compared to websites & apps

4. Flexibility & fast responses

Bots are nifty little assistants that are easy to handle. Changing complicated strings of code or interfaces could take much longer than changing a bot. A bot can be modified within 15 minutes.

Bots are also constant workers that are always available and online. While regular customer support could take up to a couple of weeks to provide an answer, a bot comes up with immediate responses and notifications to all parties involved — clients and technical support.

5. Protection from your competitors

Nowadays it’s rather easy to target a special group of people through the internet. Businesses use social networks more and more to actually reach clients, but so do your competitors, perhaps even through advertisements on your page. A bot undermines such a case by keeping all the relevant information about your clients within your own network, invisible to potential competitors.

6. Authorisation & installation aren’t needed

To use the bot your clients don’t need to install another app or to go through a long registration process. A person accessing your bot through the messenger already has all their data available. This simplifies the sale process dramatically and you can concentrate on selling your product or offering your services.

And what about disadvantages, you may ask? Surely there are some. It’s a topic to discuss in the comments.
