Artificial intelligence is better than human

Artificial Intelligence can be the end of human brain. It is not just automating things or doing what human brain can do. It is beyond what human can think of

“The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race.It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.” — Stephen Hawking told the BBC

It is not to scare you or make you to leave this planet, but to provide some information on this referring to the pace with which the AI is growing now.

“The pace of progress in artificial intelligence (I’m not referring to narrow AI) is incredibly fast. Unless you have direct exposure to groups like Deep mind, you have no idea how fast — it is growing at a pace close to exponential. The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five-year timeframe. 10 years at most.” — Elon Musk wrote in a comment on Edge.org

The real definition of Artificial intelligence can be given as “the intelligent systems that can design and develop strategic solutions based on data, elements and percepts present around them to take optimized, logical and actionable decisions that are un biased. Systems that can act according to the situation which will be un biased (not in favor of any person or element instead that will be best for that plan or task)”

In a field that attempts something as profound as modeling the human brain and beyond that, it’s inevitable that one technique like deep learning won’t solve all the challenges. But for now, this one is leading the way in artificial intelligence.

Deep learning is the area of artificial intelligence where the real magic is happening right now. Traditional systems, which are very fast, have not been very smart — they have no ability to learn from their mistakes we have to give precise instructions in order to carry out any task. AI is a combination of machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, reasoning and cognitive thinking. In short it is machine intelligence, which is not so smart. But with deep learning it is different now.

A walk through deep learning :

If you think of AI as building a rocket ship, you need a huge engine and a lot of fuel. In one case if you have a large engine and a tiny amount of fuel, you won’t make it to orbit. If you have a tiny engine and a ton of fuel, you can’t even lift off. To build a rocket you need a huge engine and a lot of fuel.

The analogy to deep learning [one of the key processes in creating artificial intelligence] is that the rocket engine is the deep learning models and the fuel is the huge amounts of data we can feed to these algorithms.

When we say the data is fuel it’s not surprising that some data rich industries like retail and E-commerce, there’s some momentum around AI gathering already. The most innovative retail sites have recently been experimenting with the use of AI, as well. Deep learning is been the reason for much of the recent success in applied AI, so it is not surprising that some of the first attempts at augmenting the shopping experience have been making use of the power of deep learning in classifying images. If you look at something like Pinterest’s visual search feature, you can see the beginnings of how deep learning in a retail context.

Another application of this deep learning can be used when you have seen some items in an ad or in a store or with someone. You see something you like, but you don’t know the name or where to get it, or you just want something similar to, say, a pair of shoes you see in a shop window. You take a picture of it which you can use on E-commerce site for searching the same item.It can easily serve as the start of a shopping experience, it can make a huge difference. Deep learning can help here too!

This revolutionary technology is helping in many areas of retail and Ecommerce . Some of them include:

· Understanding user behavior on internet

· Putting up accurate ads in front of customers

· Assist in selling by giving comparision of the products according to the user requirement.

· Conversing with customers to assist them using chatbots.

Peter Lee, head of Microsoft Research USA, “deep learning has reignited some of the grand challenges in artificial intelligence.”

How deep learning works :

Deep learning involves building artificial neural networks which attempt to mimic the way organic(living) brains sort and process information. The “deep” in deep learning signifies the use of many layers of neural networks all stacked on top of each other. This data processing configuration is known as a deep neural network, and its complexity means it is able to process data to a more thorough and refined degree than other AI technologies which have come before it.

Programmers would train a neural network to detect an object or phoneme by blitzing the network with digitized versions of images containing those objects or sound waves containing those phonemes. If the network didn’t accurately recognize a particular pattern, an algorithm would adjust the weights. The eventual goal of this training was to get the network to consistently recognize the patterns in speech or sets of images that we humans know as, say, the phoneme “d” or the image of a dog. This is much the same way a child learns what a dog is by noticing the details of head shape, behavior, and the like in furry, barking animals that other people call dogs. Some of today’s artificial neural networks can train themselves to recognize complex patterns.
