1 — What is Bias?
Have you heard the term Bias?
Representing a tendency, a disproportionate weight for or against a fact, person or group.
It can refer to irrational opinions and prejudices when one has a distorted bias towards information or its analysis.
Professors must have warned about statistical bias formed by systematic errors, random distortions that lead to incorrect estimates.
In our society, Bias refers to prejudice or discrimination, conscious or unconscious, that affect the treatment of people, such as gender, racial, age, sexual orientation, cognitive, social class, language bias, among others.
These cases can contribute to the increase and perpetuation of inequality and injustice.
We have a duty to fight them by giving fair and equal treatment to everyone.
