We’re back on track now. Pinky swear. 🤙🏾

🇳🇱 Groeten uit Amsterdam en Bratislava! 🇳🇱

First off, we want to apologize for not staying in touch with you. There really are no excuses for it — BUT… Henrik Ståhl was in Hanoi 🇻🇳 for a week, David Tvrdon was in Perugia 🇮🇹, and now Henrik is in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 (hence the Dutch greeting 😉).

Anyway. We’ve published a few episodes since the last time you heard from us:

Episode 8: Flashy and pretty visual graphics are boring — give us context and meaning! Guest: Rachel Schallom, visual storytelling specialist. (If you don’t already subscribe to her newsletter Best of Visual Storytelling, you should definitely sign up asap!)

Episode 9: What do Perugia and Stockholm have in common? We talk trust in journalism. Henrik and Dávid discuss the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, and also dissect the recent terrorist attack in Stockholm 🇸🇪.

Episode 10: Ask for forgiveness, not for permission — the recipe for digital innovation and transformation. Guest: Wojtek Grójec, digital editor at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. (Wow, it’s already been 10 episodes? Having Wojtek as guest was the perfect way to celebrate our tenth episode, because he has sooo much interesting and smart things to say. A must-listen-to episode!)

And while in Amsterdam, Henrik will conduct interviews with innovative Dutch journalists, and he will also discuss digital journalism and innovation with non other than Matt Cooke, the Google News Lab lead for the UK, Ireland and the Nordic — so stay tuned for the upcoming episodes of the Check Your Facts podcast.

Cheers!

/Henrik and Dávid
