Check Your Facts is a new podcast about journalism, by journalists, for everyone. Starting soon we will be bringing weekly interviews with media movers from Europe and beyond.

We believe there are more of these and we'd be happy to hear of the ones we don't know. Let us know in the comments.

And even though these podcasts are brilliant, we believe that there is room for one more — because all of them look at what is happening in media and journalism mainly in US or on global scale. We want to go more niche and bring journalism stories from Europe and other parts of the world.

We will be blogging our way through this experiment

We (as in Henrik Ståhl and David Tvrdon) met in the Digital Journalism Rocks Slack community founded by Lina Timm. And decided to start this podcast as a way to learn more, meet people, discuss journalism & media related topics.

One of our goals is to be transparent (because our future depends on it) and talk about everything that is going on in the backstage of the Check Your Facts podcast. How we think about the episodes and guests. How we gear up. How we prepare all of it. How we fail. And hopefully maybe also succeed.

We are passionate about journalism. We both work in the media. We both love to experiment.

Our mission is to make sense of journalism and media. We will strive for clearance in a world rattled by Brexits and Trump, and we will dig into the emotions tied to the significant moments.

Obviously, we do not have the answers, but we will be searching for them weekly and you are welcome to join our journey.

Henrik Ståhl is a journalist with almost 15 years of experience, recently turned Product Owner at Bonnier News, working with the digital development of Dagens industri and Dagens Nyheter, occasionally writing articles for Dagens industri and Di Digital. He is also a Digital Identities speaker.

David Tvrdon is journalist interested in social & new media, data journalism and journalism innovation. Now working as a product manager for online news of @DennikSme & @SME_Data.
