“Technology” the word itself is quite momentous in this era.

It was a beautiful evening, and Joe decided to hit one of the most exquisite restaurants in the city after an exhaustive day at the office. With boss rambling and colleagues bitching it was quite a gruesome day for Joe. While he hit the gear many things circulated in the mind of Joe. A little dilemma is what made him boggle. Whether he should reckon “The Heavens Paradise” or “The Castle.” The Castle, however, made the best quesadillas but not to forget The Heavens Paradise is one of the best places in the metropolis for its ambience and service.

Moreover, yes Continental is what made Joe fascinated over any cuisine, and The Heavens Paradise are invincible in Continental cuisine. But this thing was not eating Joe, however. The loan that he took last year has caused him substantial harm. But he was quite mellowed from the fact that he got quite a good offer in IBM. With all these in his mind, he stopped by the cross-section of Paradise and the Castle. Then his conscience hit him, and subsequently his engine revved off towards The Heavens Paradise.

But when he entered the restaurant, he was quite startled by the crowd. The ambience, which made him consider The Heavens Paradise vaporized utterly. He was quite disheartened by his decision. But due to time constraints, he was unable to find his second choice. So with no option left he was compelled to wait for a table. After an hour or so he has managed to pull off a table.

But I guess the cloud of bad luck still pertained on Joe. After an hour he relieved a sigh of relief. But the genial and amicable Joe was already pissed off. The reason and expectation were not met. But still, there was a ray of hope to relish the lavish Continental dishes.

Even after acquiring a table also he was not at all pacified. The place which was known for hospitality is now not paying heed to any sort of request put up by Joe. The table had traces of food and was not cleaned properly. Maybe after the hundredth request, it was unsullied from blemishes of bread crumbs and gravy stains. The only thing that compelled Joe to sit was his hunger. Yet he satisfied his appetite as well annoyance by the complimentary water and the apple juice which once tasted like sherbet has been a poison now.

Finally, a waiter came and again to Joe’s fate he was a new recruit, and Joe had a set of rules and regulations for the food he ordered. So adding to his vexation, he has to explain the whole set of things that he wanted in his dishes. The waiter, however, nodded very firmly and went towards the counter to get his tickets. After a whopping wait-time, the waiter came up with a lavish dinner. But Joe was not at all satisfied. The waiter has no idea what blunder he did. Now Joe whose annoyance has crossed the limits was coerced to call the manager because Joe has ordered Yorkshire Lamb Patties, Chicken and Cheese Salad and Rosemary Chicken. And he received all seafood dishes like Caviar, Sushi and a big Lobster which made him frown and enraged because of not being much fond of seafood.

This is how a poor soul like Joe suffered because of mismanagement of the restaurant. When was the last time you faced this when you entered a restaurant? And, how well did the management response to it?

We would like to know your stories, and experiences on similar occasions.
