About 20 km from the main city is one of India’s biggest bear rehabilitation centre where rescued animals undergo a complete health checkup and are given medical aid if they are suffering from any disease. Located inside Sur Sarovar Bird Santuary, Keetham, Agra the Agra Bear Rescue Facility is open for visitors seven days a week during daytime. You can take a walk inside this centre and even choose to sponsor an animal. Your donation will be used to take better care of a bear and help conserve our environment.

3) HANDICRAFTS AND MUCH MORE………….

Exquisite handicrafts made from white marble are in great demand both in India and abroad. Buyers are fascinated by the intricate work on this white stone that is chiseled by expert craftsmen into beautiful shapes. Foodies will dig delicious mouth watering food available at Seth Gali located in the heart of the city. The Gali or the street is not very wide so you will have to walk to enjoy this place. Hire an auto rickshaw or cycle rickshaw from your hotel and then get down at your destination. The Gali is lined with vendors selling Chaat, Paranthas, Sweets and other local Agra food that will entice your taste buds and encourage you to come here each time you visit this city.

Each year in February Agra becomes live with artisans from across India. Skilled craftsmen from the country flock the city with their goods to sell to eager visitors who visit the Taj Mahotsav fair. The weather is perfect when the fair is held at Shilpgram, located very near from Taj Mahal. You can buy embroidered dresses, wooden dinner set, Mysore silk and a range of other ethnic good from stalls that are put up to accommodate vendors.
