#BucketList- Off The Tourist Map

Once you’ve spoken about a travel destination, a 100 people throng to it. Which is all right, but sometimes we need some time off from everything.

If you’re looking for something a little more off-the-beaten path, something that is yet to be discovered, we’ve combed the map to find these some alluring alternatives. These 6 made it to our bucketlist-

1. Enjoy a glass of wine at Treviso, Italy

A 30 minute train ride away from Venice, Treviso is an ancient walled city known for it’s famous wine crawl. Drop by to enjoy a glass of Piazza dei Signori & relish a cube of mozzarella in the gardens of a picture perfect villa (makes me want to take off there this weekend *sigh* If only!)

2. Spend your days lounging around lagoons all over Tuvalu in the South Pacific

This will be the first country to vanish once global warming is upon us. So while there is still time,a trip to this independent island nation dominated by lagoons seems like a dream trip to heaven.

3. Enjoy a juicy steak with a view to kill for at José Ignacio, Uruguay

It’s the perfect beach town to browse through — artsy cafes, bohemian boutiques, narrow lanes and a view to kill for. Also highly recommended are the savory steaks at La Huella here!

4. Share a drink with a stranger at the historic city of York, England

Charming old-school pubs, cafes, and tea rooms make up most of York, but did you know York proudly displays one of the biggest Gothic cathedrals in Europe?

5. Enjoy a dose of adrenaline at Nicaragua , Central America

It’s a country of action and adventure; you can surf the beach breaks, climb the volcano, trek the rainforest and explore the colonial city of Granada. Did you know Lake Nicaragua houses the only fresh water sharks in the world?

6. Picnic by the lawns of an ancient castle in Meissen , Germany

Straight out of a fairy tale, the town of Meissen is dominated by castles and sprawling lawns. Wander around the quaint castle town, picnic in the park with a view of the river, enjoy the sweet tunes of the flutist and bask in the ancient glory of this town.

So, what’s on your #BucketList?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
