Hello there and thank you for reading! The CineFile is a brand new publication that will be covering movie/television reviews, thoughts, analysis, and anything else that suits your writing. I am hoping to develop a good team of writers so we can build up a thorough collection of reviews and articles.

There’s actually a pretty large appetite for this stuff in the general public. IMDb, Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes serve as proof of concept, but some sites such as The A.V. Club have gone as far as doing episode-by-episode reviews of shows with a lot of success. That said, they don’t have nearly the stable of talented writers that we have here on this platform.

If you have an interest in these topics, come join us. Experienced or not, we’ll take the help. I also want to help writers build their portfolios. With that in mind, anything submitted to The CineFile as a review will be cross-submitted to IMDb and, eventually, the other major websites as a critic/external review.

I’ll include the author’s name on those submissions, helping build an external portfolio outside of Medium should you want it. This can help drive external views to your Medium platform but will also help establish some bonafides, hopefully. I mean you will be listed right next to top publications, after all. It’d appear as the one below does:

Anyone who’s interested please leave a note in the comments or on the Write For Us page on the main publication. Our submission guidelines are pretty loose for the moment as the publication will need time to catch up on the latest shows and films. For now, just bring your passion and your talent. No experience necessary 😃.

If we somehow get abundantly popular quickly, I may need editors as well. Any questions, just let me know!
