Hi there,

Istanbul is more like a country in itself than a city. Here you can actually find whatever you want. History and modern life are combined.

Galata tower is located on the European side and there are many nice cafes around where you can grab a drink. There is a great place to study near Galata Tower and the name of that place is Salt Galata, I used to go there and study when I was a student.

Galata Tower was built in 528 by the Byzantine emperor Anastasius Oilosuz, next to the Bosphorus, to guide the sailors.

The building was originally built from wood. It was damaged by fire in 1204 and was rebuilt by the Genoese in 1348 out of stone to make it stronger.
