I heard that bird’s name a couple of days ago, because of NASA. Originally that’s a bird name from the times of ancient Egypt, but today an important asteroid is named Bennu, and the person who fathered the name is a high school student. I like the combination of technology with antique things.

According to Egyptian Mythology, Bennu was a self-created being said to have played a role in the creation of the world. Bennu is a bird resembling the heron who is said to have the soul of the Sun God Ra in Egyptian mythology. It was a symbol of immortality in ancient Egypt. According to mythology, Bennu formed himself from the flame of a sacred tree around the Temple of Ra. According to another version, Bennu came out through the crack in Osiris’s heart.

The return of the Bennu bird from its ashes after being burned in the sacred fire esoterically symbolizes the end of one age and the beginning of another.
