A few brief reasons self-care is still important while the world goes to hell:

You are a person, you are important.

You deserve to be happy and healthy, and take care of your general wellbeing.

✨You have inherent worth and importance as a human being — ALL humans deserve as much health and happiness as possible, including you.

You hurting doesn’t help anyone

✨ It’s no good punishing yourself for things outside your control.

✨ Neglecting yourself does not help anyone else with their problems.

Neglecting yourself solves nothing.

You can’t help anyone if you’re not OK

‘You can’t pour from an empty glass’ ‘put on your own oxygen mask first’

…Well-known phrases for what I’m saying here.

✨ You can’t help anyone if you’re not in a position — financially, physically, mentally, whatever — to help.
