Report: Log Cabin Republicans Still Not Getting the Hint
ALBANY — Sources have confirmed today that Gregory T. Angelo and other members of the right-wing Log Cabin Republicans “just aren’t getting the hint.”
Noting that conservatives at CPAC and beyond have repeatedly denied entry to the group, rebuffed the group, and escalated rhetoric against the LGBT community, a source inside the Republican Party today told CMB, “I don’t understand why the fuck they’re just not getting that we don’t fucking want them and want them to fuck right off.”
In a move that surprised no one, Log Cabin Republicans continued to support politicians with heinous views about the LGBT community in the lead up to the 2016 elections, later calling openly anti-LGBT President Donald J. Trump “the most pro-LGBT Republican president in history,” according to Michelangelo Signorile.
Sources further remarked that the “massive levels of cognitive dissonance” are only continuing to grow within the ranks of the Log Cabin Republicans and further breaks with reality are expected to worsen as the paint huffing continues.
“I’m really worried about the self-hating nature of this movement,” remarked one psychiatrist we spoke to. “It seems like these people have a type of Stockholm syndrome mentality about them, where if President Trump says something good, it’s gospel, and if he says something bad he’s just “searching for the middle ground.” This logic is not only terribly misleading, but actively harmful to the truly marginalized within the LGBT community who can’t depend on their deep pockets to get them through life.”
