We are excited to welcome Tricia Gellman as our VP and Head of Marketing! Tricia has had an impressive career in marketing with her last nine years at Salesforce, with the last year and a half as CMO for Salesforce Canada.

With over 20 years of marketing experience, Tricia has worked to build long term strategies with short term measurable impact to provide insight and growth to companies including Adobe and Apple. Prior to joining the tech marketing world, she also dabbled in the design side of things where she used her creativity to help customers solve challenging problems.

During her 9 years at Salesforce, Tricia helped to fuel the company’s exponential growth from $1.2B to $11B revenue by leading product marketing teams and creating the demand generation function, leading to a clear collaboration between sales and marketing. She initiated the Demand Generation function and built out a team of 70 people producing over $3B in pipeline a year to fuel the US Sales organization while working with marketing operations to setup scalable systems for ongoing growth.

As a member of Checkr’s executive staff, Tricia will report directly to CEO and Co-founder Daniel Yanisse with responsibility across all marketing functions. She will build out the marketing leadership team and plans to double the overall marketing team in 2018. “What drew me to Checkr was the incredible traction the company has gained in the market with relatively little marketing, and more importantly, I am motivated by how purposeful Daniel Yanisse and the team have been in building a people-first culture. I’ve learned over the years that you cannot work well on something unless you believe in the product and the mission,” said Tricia.

“We’re pleased to have Tricia join the Checkr executive team,” states Daniel Yanisse, CEO and Co-Founder. “Her ability to lead our marketing strategy and ensure the continued growth of the business all while putting our customers first is intrinsic to who she is, and we can’t wait to see what she builds.”

Tricia approaches life as a journey, not a destination and lives her life as a true marketer, through accountable results. She is an Ironman and an athlete who loves (most) sports. You can usually find her with her husband and two dogs out on the trails in Marin County.
