Announcing our Fit Matters Policy

If your mask is too large or too small, we’ll send you a replacement free of charge.

According to a recent study on the efficacy of face masks, researchers concluded:

“…gaps (as caused by an improper fit of the mask) can result in over a 60% decrease in the filtration efficiency.”

It’s important that your mask fits and seals around your face effectively to keep you protected. Although designing a mask that fits everyone’s unique face shape is a hard task, it’s a challenge that we accept.

We designed The Essential Mask to include an adjustable nose bridge, embedded within the top of the mask, and also integrated knit elasticated polyester straps to help stretch and seal with comfort. We meticulously tested dozens of prototypes.

But we’re still not done. As we continue to experiment with new designs and materials, we’ve decided to take it a step further by announcing our Fit Matters Policy:

If your mask is too large or too small, let us know and we’ll send you a different size at no charge (you just cover shipping costs).

Here’s how you do it:

Reach out to founders@getcheekies.com if the mask you purchased doesn’t fit to your liking, and we will make it right for you — including sending you a new size if that’s what’s needed.

Due to sanitary reasons we cannot accept returns on masks, so consider your Cheekies your keepsakes forever.

Why are we doing this?

  • You deserve a mask that fits and protects you.
  • Other companies selling masks have a strict “final sale” policy. We think that’s the wrong way to do business, and puts customers at risk.
  • To keep improving our mask, we need to hear from you.
  • This holds us accountable.
  • It’s the right thing to do.
